Hours of Work

Normal working hours are 09.00-16.00 Mon-Fri.

We can only provide regular services (e.g. weekly) during normal working hours.

Our platinum clean and services outside of normal working hours and/or outside of Rutland will incur additional costs.

Payment & Prices

Prices quoted will be for services between normal working hours unless otherwise stated.

Charges outside of normal working hours will usually be higher.

Payment is due by cash or bank transfer immediately upon completion of work.

Quotations are valid for 30 days provided there is no change to the work requested. Regular use of the home/rooms without any cleaning any cleaning can be classed as a change to work requested.

Prices quoted for regular cleans may be adjusted up or down depending upon the needs within the home, these will be discussed with you prior to being implemented (e.g. if you have booked a regular gold clean but in actual fact are happy with silver every week with just a gold every month, then the price may decrease). Please note that the price may go up as well as down in cases where cleaning is more extensive than originally quoted for.

Cancellation

Please give 24 hours notice of cancellation if possible.

Cancellation of less than 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the full price of the service booked.

Cancellation of any regular services booked can be given face to face, by text or email giving one week notice by either party.

Failure of the client to provide access to the property at the agreed time will be classed as cancellation without 24 hours notice. We will try to contact you and will wait at the property for up to 15 minutes whilst waiting for access to be arranged, if we are not able to access the property after this time the full charge will be incurred. Any delayed access will be considered as allocated cleaning time.

Liability

We have liability insurance for cleaning and companionship up to £1,000,000. Minor accidental damage is the responsibility of the client.

It is the clients responsibility to ensure that everyone in the home is safe, for example there will be wet floors and chemicals in the home which may be unsupervised by ourselves. For cleaning only services the room to be cleaned must be vacated by all persons during the clean. The order of the rooms being cleaned can be adjusted if needed, but in the event that a room to be cleaned cannot be vacated then that room may be left, for example if being used by someone working from home. We can, of course, facilitate special circumstances such as cleaning a room where a person is bed bound or very immobile.

Please be aware that cleaning cannot be carried out quietly, there will always be noise from running water, scrubbing, vacuuming etc. throughout the duration of the clean.

Safety

For ensuring our safety when doing manual tasks, such as moving furniture this will typically only be furniture that can be moved safely by one person. It will also only be able to be moved as far as is practicable in the environment.

With the exception of babies or small children, we are unable to lift older children and adults.

Service Scope: Cleaning Services

Please see our Cleaning Services page for definitions of cleaning being undertaken (this can be tailored to suit). Our cleans include cleaning the visible front (other than for platinum cleans, we would not remove items on the front, e.g. lists/child paintings) of appliances in the rooms we are cleaning.

Please note that we are cleaning, not tidying, the areas indicated. Prices quoted will usually be based on clear surface and floor areas. If additional items are present then these will be cleaned around (of course we will move and clean a few ornaments or photos you may have on display but we would omit or clean around large collections/valuable items (see below) or miscellaneous items such as pens/letters/clothing/towels).

Other than possibly a couple of items such as cups, our prices do not usually include washing up or loading/unloading dishwashers/washing machines. Please let us know if you would like us to incorporate this but note it will impact the price quite significantly (we do not include this as it would be considered an every day job, you would not wash up/do dishwasher just every 2 weeks).

Any additional add on services required/requested must be arranged in advance otherwise we may not be able to do them at the booked clean.

For cleaning we may choose to use more than one operative, but this will not affect the price you have been quoted.

We DO NOT offer specialist cleaning services, including (but not limited to):

  • Ovens/cookers/cooker hoods/hobs;
  • Rugs/carpets/upholstery (these can of course be vacuumed by us);
  • Windows/doors/frames;
  • Specialist collections/valuable items (we are happy to clean the surface if the client removes the items;
  • High level cleaning (we can clean up to where we can safely reach using a step);
  • Ironing (although we would be happy to do a few items whilst at your home).
  • We do not offer any outside/external cleaning.

Service Scope: Companionship

Please see our Companionship pages for further information (this can be tailored to suit).

Unless previously agreed at client’s request, companionship will always be 1 companion.

We are not able to look after children without their parent/guardian present (they must be present in the home/car or out and about).

We are not able to provide personal care (e.g. bathing, giving medication or using a hoist etc.).

We cannot provide companionship for those who have severe mental health or disability/mobility issues. Please call if you think we can help and we are happy to discuss your individual needs. Conditions such as dementia or speech, hearing or sight impairment will be discussed on a person by person basis.

Equipment

We will provide basic cleaning equipment such as cloths, sponges, buckets, wood polish (not suitable for antiques), cleaning detergents for kitchen/bathroom and disinfectant/bleach. We use mainly environmentally friendly products but do use some basic cleaners which are not such as bleach. If you prefer that we use your own products, for example due to allergy, then please let us know.

We will use the client’s equipment including mops, high reach dusters and vacuum cleaner. If these will not be available, please let us know before quoting.

Whilst doing cleaning we will need electricity and a supply of hot and cold water. Please let us know if these are not available prior to quoting.

Client Responsibilities

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the property is safe and accessible at the agreed time. The client will need to take any precautions to safeguard themselves and others from wet floors or unattended cleaning supplies etc.
